Spike Chunsoft announced yesterday that Danganronpa: Trigger
Happy Havoc would be coming to Steam next month, piquing the interest of gamers
who have heard good things about Danganronpa but don't have a PSP. Today, the
developer confirmed they're bringing Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair to Steam.
Spike's just getting started, as they have more planned for Valve's PC
platform.
While the developer hasn't been very forthcoming about just
what their further plans entail, Spike Chunsoft has said that the Danganronpa
franchise is only the beginning. Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair takes fifteen
separate high school students from Hope's Peak Academy, only this time Monokuma
traps them on Jabberwock Island. If you want to escape, you'll have to kill a
classmate without being discovered in a class trial.
No release date was mentioned for Danganronpa 2's Steam
release. Trigger Happy Havoc will be the first game in the franchise to find
its way to PCs in February, with Goodbye Despair following at some point
afterward. It's possible Monokuma will make his second appearance on PC in
March or April, but Spike Chunsoft has yet to give any specifics on the Steam
release.
