The wait is
almost over, Dying Light fans. The game's expansion, titled The Following, was
announced for a Q1 2016 release back in October. Well, here we are in Q1 and
Techland has given us a firm release date for both the expansion and the base
game's Enhanced Edition. Kyle's dirt buggy and the new Bounties system will
both be available starting February 9.
Development
on Dying Light's Enhanced Edition has gone gold and Techland's just itching to
talk about it. Today's highlight is the Bounties system, which gives players
unique objectives to accomplish every day. Completing Bounties will continue to
grant you experience points that will come in handy for the new Legend Levels.A
number of other new features and additional content has also been added to the
game with the Enhanced Edition, but Techland doesn't want to give everything
away all at once.
Players who
already own Dying Light will get access to Bounties and a number of upgrades,
likely matching the Enhanced Edition's updates, for free when The Following
becomes available. The expansion will cost $20 on its own, but players new to
Dying Light can pick up the Enhanced Edition which already has the expansion
included. Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition will be available for
PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One systems starting February 9.
