Minecraft is everywhere. If a modern electronic device is
capable of playing games, chances are you can find either Minecraft or its
Story Mode to play on it. Until recently, Nintendo seemed to be the only
company untouched by the Mojang phenomenon, but that changed last month with
Minecraft's Wii U release. Now that Wii U gamers have had some time to dress up
as the Doctor or take an arrow to the knee with the game's Doctor Who and
Skyrim packs, Telltale Games is bringing Minecraft: Story Mode to the Nintendo
home console later this week.
The first episode of Story Mode, "The Order of the
Stone" will be avialable on the North America and Europe eShops starting
Thursday, January 21 for $5. Telltale will release the next four episodes in
the coming weeks for the same price. If you'd prefer to buy all the episodes in
one go, the eShop will offer a Season Pass that gives you access to all five
episodes when they're available for $20.
If you're bored with the regular Minecraft already or just
want to check out the game's Story Mode because you haven't been able to before
now, Telltale Games will be releasing the first episode this Thursday, January
21.
